The NANOMED curriculum will benefit from the expertise of four invited professors each providing two-weeks courses enriching the NANOMED programme.
During the first year, invited professors will be participating as follows:
- In Paris, during the Basic Nanomedicine module on Semester 2, a specialist of nanoparticles characterization delivers a two-week course. For the first intake, we had the priviledge to welcome Pr. Alexander Florence who is an internationally renowned researcher.
- Summer School: a second invited professor will come for the Summer School in July. The aim is to provide our students with conferences from internationally recognized speakers in the field of Nanoparticles for drug delivery. Each year will see a different scientist participate ; for the first intake, we had the pleasure to welcome Pr. Géraldine Piel from the University of Liège in Belgium (Laboratory of pharmaceutical technology and biopharmacy and Center for Interdisciplinary research on Medicines (CIRM)).
During the second year, two additionnal invited professors will be contributing:
- In Angers, Kati Kattesh, University of Missoury, USA, a specialist of bioconjugate chemistry, Nanomedicine and Green Technology, research on development of diagnostic and therapeutic agents for treating cancer, osteoporosis, cardiovascular and ophthalmic diseases
- In Pavia, David Stepensky, University of the Negev, Israel, Professor of Pharmacokinetics, Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmacology and School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Sciences, Ben-Gurion
