The NANOMED curriculum will benefit from the expertise of four invited professors each providing two-weeks courses enriching the NANOMED programme.
During the Basic Nanomedicine module on Semester 2, a specialist of nanoparticles characterization will deliver several courses:
François Rossi is responsible of the NanoBiosciences Unit of the European Commission Joint Research Centre, Institute for Health and Consumer Protection (IHCP), in Ispra, Italy. This specialist of Biomaterials holds an extensive expertise on techniques for analyzing nanoparticles. François Rossi has also build up a unique environment putting together the most recent apparatus available on the market to characterize nanoobjects.
The second invited professor will come for the summer school in July of S2. The objective is to offer students with conferences from internationally recognized speakers in the field of Nanoparticles for drug delivery. Each year will see a different scientist participate to the Summer School to renew the programme.
Two invited professors are scheduled to join the curriculum during the third semester:
- In Angers, Kati Kattesh, University of Missoury, USA, a specialist of bioconjugate chemistry, Nanomedicine and Green Technology, research on development of diagnostic and therapeutic agents for treating cancer, osteoporosis, cardiovascular and ophthalmic diseases.
- In Pavia, David Stepensky, Pr. of Pharmacokinetics, Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmacology and School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Sciences, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel.
